Why should someone get recognition for covering other songs that Black artists composed, wrote, and sang first? I’m sorry, but Pat Boone doesn’t deserve to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. There are many artists there that are there and don’t deserve to be, but he definitely doesn’t deserve it. I thought it was for innovators and people who create wonderful music? Not for those who simply copy it and make millions. I just don’t agree with this at all. Thank you otherwise for a well written article, even though I don’t agree with the conclusions.
